Hi all--Happy New Year! Georgeann had a fun idea to inspire community meals in January--trying a new 'diet theme' each week. So each week you'll be tasked with bringing something that follows the guidelines of the particular diet. Don't worry--I'll try to keep it pretty easy/straightforward. We will start pretty easy this week with The Mediterranean Diet. Here is a brief summary: The Mediterranean diet is a way of eating based on the traditional cuisine of countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea. While there is no single definition of the Mediterranean diet, it is typically high in vegetables, fruits, whole grains, beans, nut and seeds, and olive oil. We will bring some cucumbers and homemade naan bread and probably some other things but not sure yet. :)
